Only one week to go...

Well there's only one week to go before i start uni!! I've ordered some of my books so there on their way. I've got one week however to get the study ready.. it needs to be painted and needs new carpet so thats going to be keeping me busy this week. I'm doing 4 units each semester and am feeling a little worried by how much work and reading there actually will especially after talking to a few people about it, but it shouldn't be too much to handle.. hopefully!!

Today I'm feeling bad because i was meant to go clubbing with a close friend of mine from high school. We were meant to meet at 8pm and i sent her a text at about 10am to pull out and am yet to hear back from her, so i think she's a little pissed of at me. The reason i pulled out was because the temperature all day was 39 degrees celcius which was like being in an oven. So i wasn't feeling too well, i was feeling really sick.

I really dont know why she would be pissed off its not like she is going on her own she goes every weekend with her uni friends. Anyway i just feel bad...

I put in an application for a job at another video ezy store, went to an interview but unfortunately didn't get the job. I'm starting to wonder if my old employer said something bad about me to jeopardize me getting the job. But now after finding out that i didn't get the job i have been thinking about putting in an application to work at mcdonalds. They seem like good employers and would hopefully be able to give me hours around my uni hours. But i think i might just wait until i start uni and actually will be able to gauge how many hours i could work.

Anyway thats it from my for today but i will update later in the week...

The Lunch box diet...

Celebrities like Keira Knightley and Cameron Diaz are jumping on this bandwagon. Hollywood is touting a new diet that, actually works. It’s called The Lunch Box Diet and entails not worrying so much about what you eat for breakfast and dinner, but what you put in your body in the middle of those time frames that counts. The diet is endorsed by Personal Trainer and Lifestyle Coach Simon Lovell.

According to Personal Trainer and Lifestyle Coach Simon Lovell, losing weight isn't about focusing on what you eat for breakfast and dinner, it's what you have in between that counts. With this in mind, Simon's downloadable, online diet advises me to graze from a specifically designed lunch box every hour throughout the day in order to maintain balanced sugar levels prevent hunger and fit into my party dress

My prescribed lunch box is 60 per cent organic vegetables, 30 percent protein and 10 per cent dressings - the more exercise I do, the more carbs I can have, but as a certified gymphobe, I don't intend to do any, so carbs are off limits altogether. There are no specific rules when it comes to breakfast and dinner - just that I should try and eat healthily as possible - and the big bonus is that I don't have to give up alcohol.

On day one, I reluctantly put an avocado, two carrots, half a pack of mange tout, three beetroot's and a chicken breast in my lunch box. I'm used to eating until whatever has been put in front of me has gone, so it takes all my willpower to resist scoffing down the whole lot before 11am. Still, eating little and often throughout the day means that I don't experience my usual mid-afternoon slump and stops me feeling ravenous when I get home from work - I'd normally tuck into a mountain of pasta, but tonight, soup fills me up.

Week two and apart from one weak moment involving a jacket potato, I settle into the routine of the diet. I don't miss my old lunchtime favorite (a tomato and mozzarella baguette) one bit. I'm continuing to cut down on the amount of food I eat for breakfast and dinner, as I just don't feel hungry, and I feel energized, despite the lack of carbs. The only downside is that good organic fruit and vegetables don't come cheap - £1.70 for an avocado! Also, the cold veggie emphasis makes this better for summer than winter.

At the end of the four weeks, the diet has become a way of life and I've lost 12lb. It's a realistic plan that doesn't involve being a food saint. I'm a convert to the little-and-often school of weight loss.

Finally got a custom domain....

Well i have finally managed to get myself a custom domain for this blog.. the new address is www.blackinblog.com . So far it's been really good it is my hope that this will increase me page rank but i will soon see. Anyway thats it for right now i will update in a little while.

The certainties of life....

Almost done with enrollments for uni. I'm going to be attending a number one school so i'm pretty pleased with myself. Over the last 13 years i have worked extremely hard to get where i am, it's hard to believe that in only another 3 to 6 years i will be completely finished with school all together. I'm not even 20 years old and everyone i know are off having kids and working full time saving for their future houses. Not that there's anything wrong with saving for houses at this age, starting to save as early as possible is a good idea but these people are more occupied with their social lives than with their futures. Out of 10 friends from high school only two including me are going to uni. What i cant understand is how these people think their going to be living in 10 years time. At the moment you cant purchase a house for under $400,000 dollars and thats not including money to pay for utilities and then you need a car which needs fuel which also isn't cheap, i just can't get these people who refuse to think ahead.

The daily living expenses are rising and i although am under 20 years old want to be prepared for these expenses. I have grown up on the poverty line and so refuse to continue to live poorly if there is a chance that i can improve this.

Anyone this is just something rolling around in my mind which i thought i would share. I would love to know what anyone else is thinking about this or anything else they would love to share.
Thanks

All over...

Well after one month of being in the work force I was let go. I don't know what it is about people but it seems like whenever you put everything you have into a job they treat you like crap. I was told on Friday that they didn't supposedly have enough work for me and by Monday i was filling in application for another job with the same company but at a different location. Hopefully fingers crossed i will succeed and will get this job.

Well thats everything from me for right now.
